Rhino Hobby 30 Carbon Filter – Grow Room Odour Control

The Rhino Hobby 30 Carbon Filter is a compact and cost-effective grow room carbon filter designed for grow tents, smaller indoor growing environments and hobby grow rooms. Using proven Rhino filtration technology and high-quality activated carbon, it provides effective air filtration and odour control without the size or cost of a larger professional filter.

Ideal for beginners, smaller crops and occasional growers, the Rhino Hobby 30 offers many of the benefits associated with the Rhino Pro carbon filter range in a lighter and more compact design.

High-Quality Australian Activated Carbon

At the heart of the Rhino Hobby 30 is a 30mm activated carbon bed containing virgin Australian RC4-12 activated carbon.

This highly porous carbon provides a large surface area for adsorption, helping to capture odours and airborne contaminants as extracted grow room air passes through the filter.

The carbon is machine packed to maximise the amount contained within the filter while reducing movement and density loss over time. This helps maintain consistent filtration throughout the filter's working life.

Designed for Efficient Grow Room Air Filtration

The Rhino Hobby 30 features a cylindrical aluminium body designed to direct extracted air evenly through the activated carbon bed.

Its exterior is wrapped in 51% open-area mesh, helping to distribute airflow across the filter and maximise contact between the extracted air and activated carbon.

This combination makes the Rhino Hobby 30 an effective choice for grow room ventilation and odour control in indoor growing systems.

Lightweight and Easy to Install

Manufactured from high-quality aluminium, the Rhino Hobby 30 is considerably lighter than larger carbon filters, making installation, removal and maintenance straightforward.

Its compact construction makes it particularly suitable for grow tents and smaller grow rooms where available space and hanging weight may be limited.

Reversible Design for Longer Filter Life

The Rhino Hobby 30 has an expected working lifespan of approximately 9–12 months, depending on environmental conditions and usage.

To help maximise the usable life of the activated carbon, the filter incorporates a reversible neck, base and duct coupler.

Reversing the filter changes the direction in which air passes through the carbon bed, helping make better use of the available activated carbon as the filter ages.

Rhino Hobby 30 Sizes & Airflow

The Rhino Hobby 30 Carbon Filter range is available in multiple sizes and airflow capacities, allowing you to select the right filter for your grow room, grow tent and extraction system.

Filter Size & Maximum Airflow
100 × 300mm – 350 m³/h
125 × 300mm – 500 m³/h
150 × 300mm – 600 m³/h
150 × 600mm – 900 m³/h
200 × 400mm – 900 m³/h
200 × 600mm – 1125 m³/h
250 × 600mm – 1420 m³/h

Choosing the Right Rhino Hobby 30

Choose a Rhino Hobby 30 Carbon Filter with a diameter that matches your extraction system and an airflow capacity suitable for your setup.

For example, the 150 × 300mm Rhino Hobby 30 provides a maximum airflow of 600 m³/h, while the larger 150 × 600mm model provides up to 900 m³/h.

All models feature the same 30mm activated carbon bed, allowing you to select the appropriate size and airflow capacity while retaining the core filtration technology of the Rhino Hobby 30 range.
